Walk Kooryunderup / Mount Hallowell – Explore & Connect

As part of our Living Landscapes project, the Denmark Environment Centre invites you to experience the beauty of Kooryunderup / Mount Hallowell with a guided walk through this remarkable Class A Bush Reserve.

Choose your adventure:

🌿 Active Walk – Challenge yourself with guides Chris Charlton and Andrew Dickinson as you explore the diverse landscapes of this protected reserve.

🌱 Moderate Walk – Join ecologist Melissa Howe and environmental educator Angela Dickinson for a steady-paced walk, focusing on the rich ecology and unique plant life of this special place.

Itinerary

1:30 PM | Bus departs from Kwoorabup School to Mount Hallowell (Limited parking – please use the bus if possible)
2:00 PM | Meet at the Sheila Hill Trail entry point (Ocean Beach Rd)
2:15 – 5:00 PM | Guided Walks
5:00 PM | Return to base & bus drop-off in town

**There will be a bus departing the Kwoorabup Nature School at 1.45pm. As parking is limited, we encourage you to get on the bus. If you live close and are able to walk or ride share that would also be ok.

The moderate walk with Melissa Howe and Angela Dickinson will start from the Sheila Hill Trail head on Ocean Beach Rd at 2:00pm.

The active walk with Chris Charlton and Andrew DIckinson will be meeting at Monkey Rock on Lights Beach Road at 2:00pm. This walk will go over the top of the mountain and will come back down to the Sheila Hill Trail to meet with the rest of the group and where the bus will meet you all.

Please ensure you have the following items with you:

• Hat
• Water
• Afternoon Tea
• Sturdy and comfortable walking shoes.
• Clothes that are comfortable and good for walking
