The renamed Aware training has been delivered as Opening Closets by Living Proud since 2004.
It is based on how to improve inclusion, team and customer retention and be a better employer with a higher level of LGBTIQ+ understanding
Living Proud has developed variations of the training for different sectors (corporate, disability, AOD, etc.).
AWARENESS -OPENING CLOSETS TRAINING AIMS TO:
Increase awareness and knowledge amongst participants of the need for LGBTIQ+ inclusive practice
Increase the competence and confidence of participants to deliver LGBTIQ+ inclusive practice
Assist organisations working towards sustained and embedded organisational change
Assist organisations in achieving LGBTIQ+ accreditation standards
