Event description

Wind down after a long day in the company of wise, creative, connected and generous souls - pour yourself a glass of red wine, a soothing cup of tea or a whiskey, and settle in to your living room as we bring out guests living room conversations to you.

David Leser is an Australian journalist, public interviewer and author of seven books including his most recent, groundbreaking "Women, Men and the Whole Damn Thing" about the history of patriarchy and misogyny in the age of #MeToo. David has interviewed everyone from Meryl Streep and Ayaan Hirsi Ali to Gina Rinehart, Alan Jones and the Dalai Lama.

As the host of our “living room” conversations - intimate, rich and deep conversations with writers, leaders, musicians, elders, and creatives - David dives into topics including hope, grief, love, relationship, faith, the future, mental health, poetry, and creativity. In his inimitable way he goes deep into the the heart and mind of his guests, traversing territory only he can.

David's guest in this conversation is Tom Harkin, the name synonymous with "Man Up". Tom is one of Australia’s pre-eminent advanced facilitators and executive coaches. As Founder of Tomorrow Architects, a pioneering consultancy breaking ground in behavioural change, leadership development and organisational transformation, he is a thought leader that has mastered the recipe that reveals individual and collective genius, and is a relentless student of the human condition.

One of Tom’s passion projects was the founding of Tomorrow Man, a social enterprise aimed at starting a conversation among men, both young and old, to reinvent masculinity by challenging traditional stereotypes and training emotional muscle. Featured on ABC’s acclaimed documentary Man Up, Tom’s impact has extended to celebrities, professional athletes in elite sport, and teenagers.

Join Tom and David as they dive deeper into the conversation about masculinity, and how we nurture tomorrow's man and woman.
