Living Well with Dementia
Event description
Almost everyone knows someone impacted by dementia, yet people living with dementia and their carers frequently experience isolation in their dementia journeys. When we reduce stigma and myths about dementia and mental health, we can reduce isolation and promote mental wellbeing.
Whilst dementia is not a mental health condition, the presence of dementia can give rise to mental health challenges for people living with dementia and their carers indeed, dementia is sometimes mis-diagnosed as a mental health condition.
Help reduce isolation and improve mental wellbeing by increasing your understanding of dementia, learn some prevention strategies and recognise how to live well with dementia.
Come along and share the experience of understanding dementia; attend our Dementia Australia information session, ask questions and safely share your dementia stories. You never know what you can learn from others!
