Liz Stringer - 'To Survive' tour
Event description
Join us for an Live + Intimate performance with Liz Stringer this December.
Following the successful London launch of her latest album, The Second High, acclaimed Australian songwriter Liz Stringer is returning to Australia for an extended series of shows starting in October.
This 17-date tour is not only a chance for Stringer to share her captivating, piano-infused music with her nationwide fanbase but also serves as a vital campaign to raise awareness of the housing crisis affecting Australia and to gather much-needed funds for the country’s most vulnerable populations.
Presented by Select Music, Remote Control Records, and in collaboration with Wombat Housing Support Services, the To Survive tour focuses on social equity issues.
Liz began using her platform to highlight the struggles faced by young people experiencing housing instability after a successful fundraising show for Wombat at Thornbury Theatre in Melbourne in late 2021.
A renowned storyteller, one of the tracks from The Second High features the real-life journey of an inspiring Wombat staff member. The anthemic song "To Survive" tells a powerful tale of a young man navigating life on the streets of Melbourne, showcasing the strength and resilience of his community.
This fitting tour title celebrates one of Stringer’s most triumphant albums to date, promising a unique experience filled with addictive grooves and expert arrangements that fans have come to love.
At each show, audiences will have the opportunity to donate directly to a local homelessness support organisation via a QR code, with Liz personally matching donations. Join us in supporting those without a roof over their heads!
