Load Management & Planning Special Interest Group 2/2025
Event description
LIVE WEBINAR
Facilitator: Gabrielle Harrison, Senior Advisor Funding Policy and Planning, UoM
Join us for our upcoming Load Planning and Management Interest Group session – a place to connect with colleagues, share experiences, ask questions, or simply listen in and see what’s happening.
It’s been a busy few months in the Load Planning and Management space, with Australian Tertiary Education Commission (ATEC) starting up and the work that has been needed to support the transition to the Managed Growth Funding as well as all the BAU activities in load planning that hit us all in Q3.
This is a session to discuss the impact of the many changes that we’ve been seeing and will be seeing over the next few months and years. It is an opportunity to discuss some of the following:
Glide path scenarios: What was the experience from your institution and perspective?
Commonwealth Prac Payments: Is the estimates process working? Does it provide enough funding to cover the payments being made to students?
Compact negotiations 2026 and beyond: How are the enhanced compacts going to impact our work?
Needs based funding: What we know about it – sharing department provided information. How is this going to impact your university?
November Forum SIG topics: ATEC have responded favourably to an invitation to have a representative speak at the SIG meeting - this is your opportunity to put forward your wish list of topics to be covered at the meeting.
As a group, we’ll identify common challenges and opportunities, and shape what comes next for both our practice and this special interest group. Your voice and experiences will help set the direction for future sessions.
