Workshop – Local & Regional stream of the Disaster Risk Reduction Fund

Resilience NSW is holding a free online session to encourage applications and participation in the Local & Regional Risk Reduction funding program which aims to enable the reduction of risks, hazards and vulnerabilities identified in local and regional risk assessments across NSW.

When & Where:

Monday, 23 May 1.30pm -3pm

This workshop will be held online using Zoom.

Objective

This session aims to inform, help ideate projects and connect organisations to the Resilience NSW team for further support.

Background:

A $30 million fund available to local and regional NSW organisations will help communities to reduce, mitigate and manage the risks of future natural disasters.

The Local & Regional stream of the Disaster Risk Reduction Fund offers between $50,000 and $1.5 million to eligible organisations.

This fund supports initiatives and projects that can leverage community strengths, address risks and vulnerabilities, promote collaboration, build capacity for evidence-based decision making, and enable locally led disaster resilience initiatives.

Eligible applicants include councils, joint organisations of councils, not-for-profits, and other local groups.

The fund is open for applications until 1 July 2022.

The NSW Disaster Risk Reduction Program is jointly funded by the Australian Government and NSW Government, with the program administered and managed by Resilience NSW.

Please refer to the guidelines and Frequently Asked Questions prior to the workshop. If you have any questions, please contact drrf@resilience.nsw.gov.au.
