Local Assembly - Adelaide
Event description
The Local Assembly is an opportunity to come together, with people from across the South Australian cultural and knowledge landscape, around the question: How can we unlock the value of collaborative knowledge sharing between museums and other stakeholders in South Australia? Participants will be supported through a process of shared reflection and exchange, to express diverse perspectives and practices, that can help shape responses to this question
This is part of a series of Local Assemblies being hosted around Australia by ASSEMBLY, a national cross-sector forum and R&D initiative, led by the Australian Museums & Galleries Association, that supports Australian museums and their stakeholders, to better understand, value, enable and practice purposeful collaborative research in changing contexts.
The various Local Assembly conversations will contribute to research gathered by the broader ASSEMBLY initiative, helping to understanding how museum connected collaborative research can be enabled in local contexts. This will inform ASSEMBLY’s future development of national and local support mechanisms for museums and their stakeholders to pursue new collaborative research opportunities.
By participating you will:
learn more about the enablers and opportunities for advancing local collaborative knowledge agendas,
build local networks and connections,
provide invaluable input towards a national, sector-wide museum development initiative.
The Local Assembly is for anyone (whatever role, organisation or sector) who is passionate about supporting and advocating for new collaborative knowledge connections, involving museums and galleries, in South Australia.
Local Assembly (Adelaide) is presented in partnership with AMaGA South Australia.
