Local Power, for the People: Community Boards in Ōtautahi Christchurch
Do you believe in decisions being made as much as possible by the people affected by those decisions?
Do you prefer local, flax roots up, to top down centralised power?
Community boards are the most local of our local government decision making bodies.
At this meeting we will hear from members of our city’s community boards; the work they and their board do, and the opportunities we all have if we work with them.
When: Tuesday 20th May 2025, 7pm
Where: WEA 59 Gloucester St
Who: Sustaiable Ōtautahi Christchurch is hosting this event in collaboration with Spokes Canterbury. Members of similarly-aligned organisations are invited to attend to network and learn how we can all be more effective in our advocacy.
