Event description

Be an active food citizen!

How can we eat well and take care of our families, communities and the environment?

Join Liz from Food Embassy as we explore local sustainable food.

  • Understand the environmental impact of the food you eat, from paddock to plate
  • Learn how to reduce the environmental impact of the food you buy, cook and eat. Hint: buy local, sustainable food!
  • Practical tips on how to reduce food waste at home

You'll also hear about Grocer with a Heart which is a Brighton community grocery store that helps people tackle the cost of living crisis. Hannah is a local volunteer who will tell you about how Grocer with a Heart is helping with food security.

The Marion Living Smarties will also have a thought-provoking Plastic Free July display that will get you thinking about how you can reduce your plastic use in everyday life.
