Event description

Book a Threatened Species Ecologist workshop at your school for FREE

In 2024 Zoos Victoria, Royal Botanic Gardens Cranbourne and Moonlit Sanctuary bred and released 28 critically endangered Pookila back into the wild at the Royal Botanic Gardens Cranbourne.

To support local communities to learn and care more about this wonderful species, Zoos Victoria is offering free 40-50 minute workshops at primary schools within the City of Casey

Students and teachers will:

  • Learn to identify features of the Pookila through interactive activities
  • Explore the impact that domestic cats can have on our wildlife
  • Find out how they can help reduce the impact of cats on Pookila
  • Be provided with support and additional learning resources to continue learning about the species after the workshop
  • Become a Fighting Extinction School and get an invite to this year's Showcase at Melbourne Zoo!

Places are limited, so book now.
