LOCCAL's Annual General Meeting is your opportunity to be part of shaping the future of community composting in Australia. All members are warmly welcome — whether you'd like to listen in, have your say, or put your hand up to join the committee. • Presentation of LOCCAL's annual report — a look back at what we've achieved together in 2026

Get involved — join the committee

One of the most important items on tonight's agenda is the election of committee members, and we'd love for more of our community to get involved. LOCCAL has two levels of participation:

Core committee (office bearers)
Formal governance roles including President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer. If you have experience in community governance, administration, or financial management and would like to contribute at this level, we'd love to hear from you.

General committee
Members who contribute to working groups in areas such as communications and social media, education, and advocacy. A flexible and practical way to get involved that suits different schedules and skill sets.

If you'd like to nominate yourself or find out more before the meeting, email info@loccal.org before Sunday 11 October. You're also welcome to put your hand up on the night.

The AGM follows directly after our Small Creatures, Big Impact: Worm farming at any scale from backyard to community webinar with Kim Frankowiak, which starts at 7.00pm AEDT. You're warmly welcome to attend one or both — register separately for each.
