Come and discover the power of Lomandra! Join us on Wollombi Brook, Broke, to learn, plant, and protect creeks with this champion native. Morning tea provided.
Event details:
Hosted by Hunter Local Land Services on a local property in the Broke/Milbrodale area, this event will showcase Legendary Lomandra - the ultimate native for creek protection and health.
Learn how it stabilises banks, improves flood resilience, supports creek condition, and provides habitat for animals such as platypus, all while being easy to plant and maintain.
You’ll also see professional contractors planting Lomandra along a section of the Brook, with talks and demonstrations on the species Lomandra longifolia.
Come along to observe, or join in the planting alongside the professionals!

Please bring a hat, closed-in non-slip footwear, protective eyewear/sunglasses, and gloves (if wanting to plant).
