    Special Event:  Festival Welcome Dinner 2024 

    Date: Friday 1st November 2024

    Venue:  Eudlo General Store 9-11 Rosebed Street, EUDLO

    TIme: Patrons arrive from 5pm, and are seated to eat by 5:30pm. Meal concludes 7pm. Opening concert 7:30pm.

    Cost: $55pp for a sumptuous three course meal which includes a chilled glass of Prosecco upon arrival.

    Drinks:  A variety of boutique wines and local craft beers are available for purchase 

    Bookings: For reservations, please phone Eudlo General Store on 07 4445 3545 and speak to Chef Jason.  Bookings close Monday 28 November 5pm for this exclusive festival dining experience. 

    Menu:  A special set three course menu will include vegetarian and vegan options featuring locally-sourced, finest local ingredients, thoughtfully curated by Chef Jason to highlight the region’s bounty and best artisans.  Chef Jason's illustrious culinary career includes Bennelong Restaurant at Sydney Opera House, Pier Nine at Brisbane, and Rick Stein Seafood Restaurant in Cornwall, England.  

    LOCAL TALENT SPOTLIGHT Nathan Debbins (local emerging talent and 2024 Cello Dreaming Scholarship mentee) will be outside under the porch welcoming the guests with beautiful cello music upon arrival.

    Enjoy a delicious, locally-sourced dinner in a cozy, community atmosphere as we gather to celebrate the festival's opening.  This is a perfect opportunity to connect with fellow festival-goers, meet our artists, and soak in the vibrant spirit of Eudlo. 

    Whether you're a local or visiting, this special signature dinner event sets the tone for a weekend of inspiring music and camaraderie. Don’t miss this unforgettable start to a memorable festival!

    The dinner will take place from 5:30 to 7:00 PM, offering a delightful start to the festival in a charming, community-focused setting.  Our special event three-course dinner showcases the finest local ingredients, thoughtfully curated by Chef Jason to highlight the region's bounty. 

    SIGNATURE MENU

    Start with a sharing board of olives, house baked breads, charcuterie and a fresh, vibrant entrée of heirloom tomatoes, creamy buffalo mozzarella burrata from artisan cheese maker Trevor Hart, with basil, drizzled with a balsamic reduction—a perfect balance of sweetness and tang.

    For the main course, choose between crispy salmon with a Niçoise salad or spring lamb with new season asparagus, fennel, preserved lemon and drizzled with salsa verde, or prosciutto wrapped chick with white creamy polenta, Dutch carrots and crispy sage.   Vegetarian guests can delight in a ricotta gnocchi with cavolo Nero, pine nuts and parmesan. 

    Conclude your meal with a choice of decadent desserts including lemon tart, featuring citrus from local orchards, with a buttery, shortcrust pastry and blueberries, or local honey panna cotta with strawberries and rose water or a flourless chocolate cake with mascarpone and seasonal berries or for the savoury palate, Woombye cheese served with pink peppercorn crackers and apple.
