Look Down. Does It Have Legs? with Stephen M. Irwin | Pitchable 2025
Event description
Thoughts on the process of examining a raw idea to explore its story potential.
We all have ideas – sometimes they come from life experiences; sometimes they come unbidden seemingly from nowhere. But does the idea have potential to grow from a tiny notion to a
full-blown story? What does it have? What does it lack? And what can you do about it?
Learning outcomes
A sense of value should be placed on every new idea.
Some key story lenses through which to interrogate a new idea.
Concepts for addressing the "something is missing" feeling about an idea.
Importance of moving an idea from head to hand (i.e. from out of the mind and onto a page)
