Looking Back and Looking Forward: A celebration of women's leadership in the Anglican Church

This day is a celebration and remembrance of our past and a hopeful looking forward to what is to come. We begin with a silent Eucharist to recall the silencing of women in the church for millennia. We move to thanksgiving for the courage and witness of the Philadelphia Eleven 50 years ago, and the ministry of women in this diocese, including the Consecration of our own Sarah Plowman this year. Bishop Sarah will address us over a glass of bubbly, before we move to lunch in the cathedral.

After lunch we will hold an Open Space event exploring what we still hope for from women's leadership in the church, lay and ordained. Join us for all or part of this festival of women''s leadership in the Anglican Church.
