Learn to weave on a loom. Suitable for beginners. Small group of three so you get one to one guidance. All materials provided for you to weave a scarf or a table runner. Bring your own lunch. Hot drinks provided.

Gallery 118 started in 2022 as a Pop-Up Gallery. A group of 3 artists saw a need for a gallery in Westport, took the idea and ran with it. They had the Pop-Up Gallery open 3 weeks later. Now Gallery 118 is a collective of more than 20 local artists from all over our region including Karamea, Reefton, and Punakaiki and is open all year round.

It is run by Kawatiri Arts Collective Trust, a non-profit organisation and operated by volunteers.

The Gallery is a vibrant, ever changing space, supporting a diverse range of artists across many disciplines.

It hosts events and workshops, supporting creativity for all in the community.
