Loose Threads Social
Description
You’re warmly invited to our Loose Threads Social this September at Verve!
If you joined us last time, you already know how cosy and welcoming this event is. If you're new, here’s the gist:
Loose Threads is a relaxed night out where you bring your own clothes to mend, meet lovely people, and spend a couple of hours doing something wholesome. Think paint-and-sip or a local knitting club: the same easy, social vibe, just centred around mending.
Hosted at the lovely Verve, this is your space to finally tackle that item sitting in your "to-fix" pile, with extra support if you need it. This isn't a formal workshop or lesson, but we’ll have a few fantastic volunteers on hand to share tips if you get stuck on a tricky repair. It’s simply a friendly, zero-pressure space to hang out and get your mending done.
Grab a drink, settle in, and enjoy a gentle evening. Come solo or bring a friend; either way, you’ll be in great company.

FAQs
- Do I need sewing experience?
Not at all. This isn’t a workshop or class, just a welcoming space to give it a go at your own pace.
- Is there help available?
Yes, there’ll be a few experienced people around who can share tips if you get stuck.
- What should I bring?
Bring along something you’ve been meaning to mend: a top, a hat, socks, a jacket etc. Basic tools will be available, but we'd love it if you could bring your own if you have them.
- Is this the same as Wastebusters Repair Revolution?
No, it’s quite different. Repair Revolution is a free community repair event where volunteers fix items for you. Loose Threads is more social, and focused on mending your own clothes.
- Do I need to register?
Yes, we recommend registering for free to secure your spot.
- What's the vibe?
Think paint and sip or a knitting club. Easy, social, and low pressure. A great way to meet new people, especially with so many fresh faces arriving in town, and make a few new friends along the way.
