Event description

This event marks our 7th year of Trivia Fundraisers at Iron Goat Brewing and our second time playing Lord of the Rings Trivia! Thank you to Iron Goat for hosting and thank you to our loyal trivia-goers for returning to help raise funds for the Get Lit! Festival. Get Lit! is a four-day celebration of literature that has been a community tradition in Spokane for 27 years—this year's festival takes place April 10th-13th, 2025.

To play: Gather your team of 2 to 4 and prepare for the ultimate battle of wits. Tickets are $10 per person and you may purchase up to 4 tickets per team.Trivia runs from 12pm-2pm. This leaves plenty of time to still catch that famous sportsball game!

While you scribble your answers, you can enjoy delicious specialty food and drink provided by Iron Goat Brewing, including a very special non-alcholic drink called the Miruvor. According to lron Goat legend, Gandalf received a flask of this drink from Elrond before the Fellowship left Rivendell. While ascending the Misty Mountains thereafter Gandalf shared a sip of Miruvor with each member of the group to reinvigorate their tired spirits, and then again once the entered the Mines of Moria. Trivia winners will earn a fantastic Iron Goat appetizer, and a prize pack from the Get Lit! Festival that includes books, t-shirts, stickers, and more!

Hobbits of all ages are welcome to attend, but those 12 and older must purchase a ticket. Cosplay and dress-up are highly encouraged!

*Note that this trivia is based on the books and not the films.*

Participation in this LOTR trivia fundraiser directly supports EWU's Get Lit! Programs. Your contribution helps us to present 35+ free and low-cost events featuring over 60 authors from our region and beyond, at the annual Get Lit! Festival. These events help support creative writing students, local authors, and the lit-loving public by bringing writers from all over the country to speak, teach, and inspire here in Spokane. We thank you and appreciate you for your contribution to the community!
