Description

Step into the enchanting grounds of Blenheim Gallery and Garden for a gentle, creative exploration of our connection with the more-than-human world. Through guided nature mindfulness, Celtic nature mythology and reflective practices, we will open ourselves to the stories, symbols and wisdom that emerge through our relationships with the living world. Together, we will explore the ancient art of myth-making as a way of finding meaning, deepening our sense of belonging and reconnecting with the wild, imaginative parts of ourselves. What might the plants, animals and landscapes around us have to teach us about who we are, and who we are becoming?

Drawing inspiration from the ancient Welsh legend of St Melangell and the Hare, we will explore how an encounter with an animal can become a powerful story of protection, courage, compassion and sanctuary. Through creative reflection and art making, you will be invited to choose an animal or plant that holds personal significance and use its qualities, symbolism and presence as inspiration for an empowering myth of your own. No artistic experience is necessary; this is an invitation to explore, imagine and create in your own way, allowing images and stories to unfold rather than striving for a perfect result. Held in the embrace of nature, this gathering offers space to listen deeply, nurture your creativity and discover the stories that might help you navigate your own life's journey. Tickets are $40 per person ($25 concession) for a two and a half hour experience, art materials and light refreshments will be provided during our processes.
