Join us for Queensland's only all-abilities event designed by people with an intellectual disability, for people of all abilities. Experience powerful speakers and self-advocates from across Australia, which will lead engaging and meaningful conversations about Rights, Voices, and Choices, as we mark 10 years of Loud and Clear Qld.
This event brings together people with a disability, carers, and families in a safe and inclusive environment. By design, it provides peer-led learning opportunities, builds connections and, most importantly, a space to have fun making lasting memories!
Conference Details:
Day 1: 9th October, 9:00am-3.30pm (Doors open from 8.30am)
Day 2: 10th October, 9:00am-3.30pm (Doors open from 8.30am)

Conference Highlights:
MC Wheels (Nathan Tessman) - Rapper & Disability Advocate: Aussie hip-hop artist with SMARD 1 who's performed at major Queensland festivals and featured in documentaries and film soundtracks, Nathan proves that disabilities can't stop artistic dreams or the power to inspire others with the power of music.
Dr Michelle Browning - Supported Decision-Making Expert and Consultant: Dr Browning will lead an interactive session on supported decision-making, helping participants understand the difference between support and substitution while exploring practical strategies for speaking up, getting the right support, and taking control of their own decisions.
Question and Answer Panel: Ask the tough questions and get direct answers from key decision-makers in disability! Bring your questions about policy, funding, accessibility, and local initiatives that make a real difference.
Local Leaders Cr Tim Burns and Marty Hunt MP on Building Inclusive Communities
Hands-on workshops: Rugby league, bocce, musical instruments and podcasting, ballroom dancing, music sessions, Diversity Modelling Academy and more to be announced.
