Josh Lovegrove

An experienced singer, songwriter and live looping artist, Josh Lovegrove has a profound ability to bring his audience into the present moment and crack open their minds and hearts.

Through his music, Josh quickly brings a sense of community to crowds, and connection amongst strangers.

With a passion for storytelling and creating intimate performance spaces, Josh’s stage show is complemented by his extensive looping setup to create a tantalizing soundscape of groove, musicality, and harmony supporting his unmistakable vocal styling that crosses the boundaries of all genres.

Josh is well recognised within the Australian East Coast music scene, and has performed shows all around Australia. A traveller at heart, Josh has journeyed from Cairns to Melbourne and Alice Springs to Adelaide sharing his art.

He has performed at the Woodford Folk Festival, Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony 2018 (QLD), Tamworth Country Music Festival (NSW) just to name a few and we are very lucky to have him grace the stage of Liqui Lyrics.

Poetry slam rules

* 3 minutes/ timer starts on the first word

* 1 point deducted for every minute over

* 5 Judges chosen randomly in the crowd

* high score and low score removed for final score

The winner will go into the end of year final for cash prizes to help you them on their your way to following their performance dreams.
