Love Thrills DONE tour @ The Cave Inn
Event description
Local synth rockers Love Thrills are touring SEQ for the release of their new single DONE. They’re bringing three piece punk band Lattes For MILFS and cheeky Indi rocker, Indigo Hue.
LOVE THRILLS is an all-queer rock outfit hailing from Gubbi Gubbi and Jinibara lands in Queensland. Their synth rock sound with punk undercurrents make their live shows brimming with raw energy and enthusiasm. Their third single MAGIC crept onto radio airwaves across the country in February. Their song SEXY MOTHAFUCKA, a sex-positive, body-positive, own-your-power anthem, with rowdy, rollicking pirate-like gang vocals, dropped late last year, and propelled the band into homes across the US with a viral vid shot on the verandah of their guitarists tiny home in the Aussie bush.
LATTES FOR MILFS are a 3 piece punk rock feminist anarchist band hailing from Nambour, Sunshine coast. Established in 2024, they instantly drew attention through their aggressive, in your face punk rock ethos of girl power and solidarity. Band members Hazel Vox and drums , Gem Vox and bass , Dave Guitar and Vox , who met at a 2024 Pride event, instantly connected and created the band that evening. Within 6 months they have already played a number of high profile gigs, spreading their unflinching and honest music and lyrics to the LGBTQI+ community and wider audience. They are a breath of fresh air in a male dominated industry, and are part of an exciting , new wave of female and trans bands demanding to be played, to be heard and to be acknowledged. They are currently recording their first ep. To quote off their first single ‘ feminpissed, feminpissed, I'm a feminist and I'm fucking pissed'
INDIGO HUE Indigo Hue! (a.k.a. John Gayer). With a sound like a sonic forehead kiss, Indigo blends indie rock and jazz with tender, melancholy lyrics that explore sapphic love, heartbreak, and everything in between. Her music swings from dreamy indie-folk to sharp pop-rock. Hue’s lastest single, Lilium is a heartbreak anthem that dives into the messy beauty of self-discovery, also featured on Spotify’s AUS&NZ Fresh Finds playlist. Her sophomore single, *The Room*, is a soft, soapy love song, while her debut, *Romantic Overthinker*—featured on Triple J’s *Out to Party*—tells a classic queer tale of unrequited love with a gritty, guitar-led edge.
Based in Meanjin (Brisbane) since 2022, this cheeky indie-rocker has played alongside Matt Maltese, Maddy Jane, Suzi, and Bakers Eddy. In 2024, Indigo embarked on her first east coast headline tour with Naarm’s Hassall and performed at Melt Festival's PinkNoize—a traveling celebration of alternative queer artists. With every performance, Indigo Hue brings confidence, vulnerability, and just the right amount of cheek. You’ll laugh, cry, and maybe even fall a little in love.
