To celebrate the launch of their third single ’Straight', Love Thrills are bringing their mates DAMIEN, and Hugo and the Hive, on a run of dates across SEQ, hitting The Cave Inn on Jan 24.
It will be synth. It will be pop. It will be dance, and it will rock your socks off.
So bring your sexy selves and your mates and support the Sunny Coast's most thrilling rock band as they explode into a very exciting beginning to 2025.

About the artists:

Love Thrills
is an all-queer rock outfit hailing from the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. Blending the raw grit of Aussie pub rock with a splash of '80s pop and the spirit of the '90s indie scene, their sound is as magnetic as it is unapologetic. Love Thrills turn every performance into a kicking celebration of queer identity and life. Their electric live shows are impossible to resist—where queer love, hookups, breakups, and makeups become anthems that make you want to pump your fist, shake your hair, and jump around…and their fans are all in for the ride.

Their debut original release SEXY MOTHAFUCKA is the ultimate sex-positive, body-positive, own-your-power queer anthem. The rowdy, rollicking pirate-like gang vocals with a clap-your-hands chant hits you right in the breakdown, and this banger is poised to light up stages across the festival circuit.

Though only 12 months on the scene, they've played and sold out a bunch of shows in Brisbane and Sunny Coast, including The Cave Inn, Sol Bar, The Presynct. Love Thrills also opened the Real Electric Pussy festival in Queensland - a 3 day queer festival for femme and non-binary folk - “I felt like i was on an episode of the L-word - so many queer iconic bangers thrown into the set!".

DAMIEN
is a brilliant performer who draws his audience in to make them feel involved and part of the set. He seamlessly weaves pop and darkwave into their musical tapestry, creating a unique sonic experience. With comparisons to Depeche Mode, Regurgitator and T.I.S.M, DAMIEN blends pop and industrial elements to create his unique style of alt-pop electronica. Their sophomore album ‘Wrong Age. Wrong Race. Wrong Gender’ was awarded ‘album of the week’ by Brisbane’s community radio station 4ZZZ.

Hugo and the Hive
are the most exciting young act to come out of the Gympie region ever!
Their unique, acoustic-driven arrangements have something different, something raw and exciting that should not be overlooked. This group of young musicians have a cool indie rock sound, and a fun energy on stage that engages their audiences. Their influences are include the amazing Greta Van Fleet, Amy Winehouse, Weezer, Spacey Jane, and Ed Helms.
