Event description

We want to create a map of all the best things about Fremantle – and we want you to make your mark!

In the first session of the day, author and illustrator Kelly Canby will be joining us to share her collaging tips and tricks. You’ll start by drafting up your ideas and developing your concept before taking to the big canvas.

There are two other sessions to help finish the artwork – one with Renée Treml and one with James Foley. They’ll be adding to your artwork on extra layers. At the end of the day, we’ll have one big beautiful kids’ map of Fremantle!

This workshop is best for children aged 6 – 12.

Tickets are $10. All ticketholders will receive a $10 credit to spend in the bookshop. Your credit must be used on the day of the workshop (Saturday 2 June).

This event has been enabled by Writing WA’s Love to Read Local Week with support from the Copyright Agency’s Cultural Fund.
