Love Wānaka x Te Kākano: Industry Planting Day

Gather the team and do your bit to support critical environmental mahi in our region.
Love Wānaka is once again partnering with Te Kākano to bring the business community together for a day of connection, collaboration, and hands-on climate action.
There are dozens of native seedlings to plant, as well as a shared morning tea, and plenty of opportunities to connect with your team and others working across our industry.
When: Thursday 01 May, 9.30am-12.30pm
Where: Millennium Track – Te Kākano Nursery (Map Reference: Here)
What to bring: Please come dressed comfortably for outdoor activities and ensure you have appropriate gear for the conditions on the day. Don't forget your sunscreen, hat, and refillable water bottle, plus a wind and / or waterproof layer. Please BYO gloves if you have them.
What’s included: Tea, coffee, and refreshments are provided, as well as all necessary tools and equipment.
Transport and parking: Access to the planting site is along the Millenium Track, between Edgewater Resort and Te Kākano. You can park at either the Waterfall Creek (10-minute gentle walk) or the Wānaka Tree track ends (20-minute gentle walk). Better yet, carpool, jump on your bike, or create a walking bus. We'll start at 9.30 sharp, so please plan ahead to arrive on time.
