• How does the payment work? 💸

  CityHeroes Haymarket does not allow split payments at the venue. One person in the group will handle the full payment for the table(s) at the start or end of the session. Please arrange among yourselves who will be the payer before the session starts, and split the cost between all attendees at the end. The total will reflect the 15% members discount already applied.

  We recommend using a payment splitting app (like Splitwise, BeemIt, or a simple bank transfer) to make it easy. Please sort this out promptly so your payer isn't left out of pocket!

• What if we want to keep playing past 9:00 PM? ⏰

  The 15% Lucky Tiles member discount applies to any additional time beyond the 6–9 PM booking window — so you'll still get the same rate if the group decides to stay on. However, please note that room availability after 9:00 PM is not guaranteed, as the space may be needed for other bookings. If you'd like to continue, check with the venue on the night — and factor any extra time into the group's final payment split.

• Is this event really members only? 🔒

  Yes — this weekly session is exclusively for Lucky Tiles Social Club members. Entry is based on a check-in list tied to tickets purchased, so unfortunately guests cannot be brought along. Only ticket holders will be admitted on the night. Our public events are listed on our Humanitix page and are open to everyone — so if you know someone who wants to join, point them there!

• I'm a member but I've never played on auto-tables before — is that okay?

  Absolutely! The auto-tables are intuitive and you will get it in no time. The main difference is there's a button to shuffle and set tiles automatically — everything else is exactly the same.

• I'm new to Mahjong or HK point-scoring style 🤗

  We have instructional materials, but also feel free to check out this amazing youtube video that goes over the basics. For players who know the basics already, here is a great intro to points.
  Learning is also more fun with newbies so please indicate on your ticket.

• I know how to play but want to socialise over fun games of mahjong 😎

  For casual players, our default game is HK style (with points) because it's fun! However, people are welcome to play any style agreed by their table. If you would like us to try a different style, please let us know! We have tried Sichuan style before and it was heaps of fun!
