Lughnasadh Harvest Feast

Price £10 GBP + BF Get tickets

Event description

You're invited to join your neighbours in a playful celebration inspired by Lughnasadh ~ our mini take on the Celtic fair at the beginning of harvest

We will offer a bountiful afternoon, in the open air surrounded by green. Walking you through games, straw craft, stories, foraging knowledge and a harvest feast, to simply spend time together, in slow and bright ways. Just as the villagers have done at this time for many of years before us.

During this time we will pause for the deep significance in transition of season and growth. Historically it is widely observed in Gaelic communities for honouring the ripe and abundant bounty from Harvest, originating from Medieval times and practiced throughout most of Scotland, Ireland and the Isle of Man.

PROVIDED ~ We will provide all materials for crafts, games and food to end our time together with a Lughnasadh inspired feast. All you need to bring is yourself and a water bottle!

LOCATION ~ The location is Cathkin Park with exact coordinates sent prior to the day.

SUPPORT ~ Please include any support or dietary needs that will make this time comfortable and enjoyable for you.

We look forward to a day of feast and play with you.

Dana, Pip + Sarah
