Description

2026 Session 1: Latest Surgical and Medical Management for Pelvic Pain, Menopause and Perimenopause

This International Women's Day, join Luma in recognising and understanding the complexities of women’s health and wellbeing. 47% of the female population endure pelvic pain in Australia and all women experience perimenopause and menopause.

With Luma now delivering one of 33 federally funded Endometriosis and Pelvic Pain Clinics, the opportunity to improve diagnosis and care is here. This education event supports primary care providers to recognise symptoms earlier and connect patients to specialist support — reducing the 7-year diagnostic delay that too many women still face.

Round table discussions will be led by experts and champions in the field. You can expect intimate conversation with limited seats available offering a chance to speak with each expert as they rotate through the room. The evening includes a 2-course dinner at the University Club of Western Australia.

Topics and Speakers include:

🗨️ Dr Simone Altaf, Medical Director and GP at Luma: Medical Management of Menopause

🗨️ Thi Anh Oliver, Principal Physiotherapist: Physiotherapy and the Management of Pelvic Pain

🗨️ Dr Sean Copson, Gynaecologist and Advanced Laparoscopic Surgeon: Surgical Management of Endometriosis

🗨️ Dr Caitlin Roche, Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Fellow: Premature Menopause in Women under 35

🗨️ Dr Irina Baimatova, Vascular Surgeon: Pelvic Congestion Syndrome

What to Expect:

  • Expert speakers at each table that will rotate through the evening sharing their insights, experiences and tips.

  • A two-course meal including canapes on arrival and a main course.

  • CPD hours can be claimed for this event, with 2.5 hours counting toward the Educational Activities (knowledge & skills) category. As Luma is not a registered CPD provider, attendees will need to self-record these hours.

We are excited to announce attendance from BTL Medical Technologies! As an event sponsor we are proud to have an Emsella Chair available on the evening for attendees to view and learn more.

The Emsella chair is a non-invasive, FDA-cleared device that uses High-Intensity Focused Electromagnetic (HIFEM) energy to stimulate and strengthen pelvic floor muscles, treating incontinence and improving intimacy.

Seats are limited to 45 only. Register now to save your spot. We also welcome the submission of particular questions or case studies for discussion on the night.
