Description

Note: This online event is held on Teams. Registrations will close 4 PM the day prior and the access link will be delivered shortly after.

About this event:

AI is already in the room. This session gives PMI community members the foundational knowledge they need to engage with AI confidently, not just as a tool to experiment with, but as a technology to understand, question, and apply with integrity. Covering how AI actually works, how to choose the right setup, and how to prompt for consistent professional outputs, participants leave with practical skills and a clearer picture of what responsible use looks like for them as professionals. No technical background required.

About the Presenter:

Karrina Mountfort is a leader in AI education, enablement, and AI-powered solution delivery with more than 20 years' experience in technology and digital transformation. Across that career she has worked with organisations across sectors, helping them turn technology into practical advantage for their people and their businesses.

Karrina founded The AI Assembly® from a deep belief that New Zealand deserves its own approach to AI, one shaped by our people, our communities, and our cultures. Her work is focused on building an equitable base layer of informed and educated people across Aotearoa, ensuring diverse communities, cultures, and workforces are equipped to engage with AI responsibly and with confidence.

As Founding Chief Innovation & Technology Officer of Webbased AI, that same conviction shapes her commercial work, helping businesses build and adopt AI solutions that enable their teams to work smarter, scale with confidence, and drive positive change for New Zealand.

At PMI New Zealand, Karrina brings that grounded, practical perspective to a session designed for professionals ready to move beyond surface-level AI use and start leading with it.
