Free lunch and learn networking event in BUNBURY: Strengthening Child Safety within Organisations.

Join the Ombudsman Western Australia and the WA Council of Social Service (WACOSS) Child Safe Project for an engaging lunchtime networking event focused on practical steps to strengthen child safety in your organisation.

The Ombudsman and WACOSS Child Safe Project team will be there to chat about:

• How organisations can keep children safe in their organisation

• The importance of having child and family friendly complaints processes

• Responding properly to child abuse allegations by staff in your organisation

We will share information about:

• The National Principles for Child Safe Organisations

• The Child Safe Project (can assist in understanding the National Principles and build practical knowledge to embed child safe practice)

• The Reportable Conduct Scheme (working with certain organisations to make sure they handle child safety concerns properly)

• The Ombudsman's complaints mechanism (working with members of the public with concerns about how a government agency handled their complaint)

Non-government and government organisations with an interest in child safety
