Description

Sometimes the hardest part of online learning is simply finding the time to sit down and do it.

Join Three Lakes Cultural Trust and huddl for a relaxed Lunch & Learn, where we’ll work through the first part of The Learning Space’s Promotion & Storytellling module together.

This isn’t a presentation or a formal workshop. Think of it more like a working session… a chance to sit down with others tackling similar challenges, open up the module and actually get started, while enjoying a free lunch (on us)!

Together, we’ll explore practical ways to tell your organisation, group or creative business’s story, think about how you connect with your audience, and start working through the tools and resources available in The Learning Space.

We won’t get through the entire module in an hour, and that’s the point. We’ll help you make a start, work through the first few steps together and give you the printed resources, tools and momentum to keep going afterwards.

You’ll also have the chance to meet other people doing similar mahi across the region, swap ideas and learn alongside one another.

What to bring

Please bring your laptop if you have one. We’ll be logging into The Learning Space and working through the module during the session. If you haven’t registered for The Learning Space yet, you will need to sign up before the Lunch & Learn session, so you’re ready to get started on the day.

We will have a screen and projector - so if you don't have a laptop, just bring your notepad & pen, as we'll also have printed resources to work through.

We’ll provide:

  • A light lunch

  • Printed resources to help you work through the module

  • A supportive space to get started

  • Other humans to help keep you on task (sometimes that’s half the battle)

Who is it for?

The session is open to people involved in community groups, charities, for-purpose organisations, creative practices and creative businesses across the Queenstown Lakes District and Central Otago.

You don’t need to be a marketing expert or know much about storytelling. You just need something you’d like to communicate more effectively and a willingness to give it a go.

What is The Learning Space?

The Learning Space is a free e-learning platform for the community and creative sector across Queenstown Lakes and Central Otago.

It uses the successful ArtReach model developed by Creative Waikato and has been brought to our region as a one-year pilot, co-delivered locally by Three Lakes Cultural Trust and huddl with funding from the Department of Internal Affairs.

Available 24/7, it features ten self-paced workshops, covering topics including: governance, funding, promotion and storytelling, audience development, project planning, strategic planning and more. Each workshop is broken into short chapters, with practical activities, downloadable templates and toolkits to help you put what you learn into action.

You can work through the content by yourself, with your team or even around the boardroom table, dipping in and out whenever you have time.

The Learning Space is available free to community groups, creatives and for-purpose organisations across Queenstown Lakes and Central Otago.
