Description

In July, VegNET Tasmania took 10 Tasmanian veg and onion growers and advisors to the North Island of New Zealand to see what regenerative practices are being implemented or explored.

Join us for this 45-minute session as we dig into what participants learnt on the ground during the NZ Regen Ag Study Tour, and what is means for practice change here in Tasmania.

Daniel Sutton (NZVeg) will also give us a cross-Tasman perspective and share more about his role in driving on-ground change through the Lighter Touch program and more.

We'll hear from:

  • Daniel Sutton, Research and Development Manager, NZVeg

  • Robert Arvier - Farm Business Owner, West Pine Ag

  • Doug Clark - Farm Business Manager, UTAS / Tasmanian Institute of Agriculture Forthside Vegetable Research Farm

  • Holly Coad - Agronomist, Muirs

There will also be time for Q&A and discussion.

The online meeting will be held via Zoom with details emailed to registrants the day prior.

This tour was hosted by VegNET Tasmania in collaboration with Vegetables NZ, thanks to funding from Hort Innovation using the vegetable and onion research and development levy and contributions from the Australian Government.
