Event description

Why I’m hosting this workshop…

You care about your well-being, hate media messaging about bodies and maybe even feel better about your body than you used to.

But you still don’t like photos of yourself, feel great in your clothes, or feel as confident as you could. You don’t want to be skinny, but you know you’d feel better if your body was smaller.

You’re not alone. 80% of women feel that way.

The problem is:

Women are unconsciously compelled to stay fit, be well, look good, not stressed. If we don’t, we have failed! To counter this we’re told to love our body - and if we can’t do that … more failure. We start to believe we are broken.

Nope. Nada. No. It’s not true—you are not broken or a failure!

In the Power-UP I’ll show you why women are unconsciously compelled to focus on their bodies - believe me, it’s not why you think.

Without knowing why, feeling at ease in your skin is like trying to get dressed with a blindfold on.

Taking the blindfold off can set in motion changes that will impact your whole life!

The lunchtime Power-UP is for you if....

  • You want to have a kinder internal narrative about your body but you don’t want to be told to just accept it.
  • You want your kids to grow up with healthy and kind internal narratives about their bodies and be able to take good care of them.
  • You would like to be able to see yourself in a photo or mirror without it ruining your mood - and same with trying on new clothes
  • You intellectually understand that all bodies are good bodies, but you know if your body was different life would be better.

If you relate, you’re in the 80%! I’m here to tell you the problem isn’t you and I have the solution!

Introducing the Lunchtime Power-UP:

The Lunchtime Power-UP is a 45-Minute Lunchtime workshop that outlines the basics of not only how negative body image is created but also why

This was a such a huge Ah Ha for me, I want all women to know it.

I’ll also guide you through a body image assessment so you can see where you sit on a continuum from violent to liberated.

The beginning of any journey starts with situating yourself on the map. If we don’t, we can’t get where we want to go.

What you can expect from taking the Power-UP…

  • Shift in perspective: You’ll see the whole body/food iceberg and be able to make far more powerful choices for yourself
  • Become kinder to yourself: When you see the real ‘food/body’ game we are all playing, you’ll be much kinder on yourself without having to ‘try’.
  • Increased confidence: Get a true picture of where confidence comes from and see that you were looking for it in the wrong place
  • A way forward: Understand the steps to take to heal your relationship with body and food (they aren’t as hard or scary as you think)
  • Let go of trying to love or accept your body: instead feel an alignment with it that you didn’t know was missing.

This workshop will help you see your body and food in a different light, giving you more power over your well-being.

How does it work?

When you register for the event, you’ll be sent a Google Meet link.

The meeting is 45 minutes and will not be recorded.

Bring a pen and note paper. The workshop will open 5 minutes before the start time and begin bang on time.

The first part of the workshop is a short powerful presentation. The second two thirds are practical - where you get to look at your life and where your body image is at and what the next steps are for you.

You can keep your camera off or on. You can ask questions in the chat if we have time, or email me after if we don’t.

The workshop is short and powerful.

Here are the details:

  • 45-minute live Google Meet workshop
  • 26 June
  • 12.10 pm, Auckland time
  • You will be sent a link on registration and again the day before
  • The meeting will not be recorded (if you cannot make it, you will be sent a link to the next Live Power-UP)

How much does it cost?

$37

There are 100 seats available. That sounds like a lot, doesn’t it? Given how many women have consistent negative thoughts about their body, I’m expecting it to fill fast.

Registration closes 11 am, 26 June (Auckland time)

See you inside!
