EYES ON ART – THE END OF HISTORY
Event description
Students are invited to join us for a special program of ‘looking at art’ in EYES ON ART at the Lawrence Wilson Art Gallery during the university’s common lunch time (1-2pm) on Tuesdays during 2024.
In each of the exhibition seasons of 2024, Lawrence Wilson Art Gallery invites students to join a discussion and be guided by someone who is informed about the artwork on display.
Come to the gallery and look together at selected artworks exhibited in The End of History between 1-2pm, with Academic and Public Program Curator Dr Janice Lally.
Reflect on and share your own ideas and listen to those of others as we explore together what an artist may reveal in their artwork and consider what these ideas might mean for yourself.
The program EYES on ART continues throughout the year. Other dates include 30 July & 1 October.
-----------------------
THE END OF HISTORY explores artists’ relationship to history, as it’s made.
At its centre is a group of works from the University of Western Australia Art Collection made between 1985 and 1995, a decade of transformational change locally, nationally and globally.
-----------------------
Please note: in keeping with the University's guidelines, space is limited for this event and registration is required.
