Join exhibiting artist Rina Franz discuss her practice and the inspiration behind her stunning work The Invisible Thread, featured in our current exhibition Stuffed Bolstered and Upholstered.

Stuffed, Bolstered & Upholstered

7 September – 7 December

Aligning with the theme for the Indian Ocean Craft Triennial IOTA24: ‘Codes in Parallel’, this exhibition investigates systems of power as they are enacted upon bodies.

Utilising a broad definition of fibre & textiles, contemporary makers fuse traditions of old with a modern edge to create pieces that critique power dynamics.

Stuffed, Bolstered & Upholstered is a major showing of textile works from CCWA, UWAAC, Berndt with loans and commissions for new works.
