Event description

MWAH

Mature Women Actor's Hub

MWAH is a 5- 12-week creative adventure, offered once a year.
You are invited to choose your own path — whether you come to play, to devise, or to perform.

Together, we weave an original, multi-disciplinary performance, a living mosaic of song, dance, movement, multimedia, and acting — real stories made by mature women, for mature women, told from the heart.

Where: Cooran Memorial Hall

Your Journey

Playing (Weeks 1–5):
We begin with five weeks of nurturing workshops (2.5 hours each) where you'll awaken your body, free your voice, tell stories through movement, and form a community of trust and laughter.

Devising (Weeks 3–7):
If you wish, continue into the devising phase. Here, we transform ideas into monologues, dialogues, and metaphors. The stories are yours — shaped by your hands, your heart, and your truth.

(Note: to devise, you must complete the first five weeks of workshops.)

Performing (Weeks 7–12):
If the stage calls your name, you can join the performance ensemble. We'll rehearse, refine, and memorise the work, culminating in a 70-minute public performance that will fill the room with light.

What to wear: Lose free flowing clothing, pants or tights suitable for movement.

What to bring:  Water, morning tea and a smile
