Mabels Strategic Review Launch
Description
Mabels - early, trusted, integrated
Launch of the Mabels Strategic Review
Mabels is a Health Justice Partnership (HJP) which provides early intervention, integrated support to women and children experiencing family violence who seek support via Victoria’s universal Maternal and Child Health (MCH) service.
Established in 2015, Mabels has demonstrated success through a series of independent evaluations and has been expanded through government and philanthropic funding to additional metropolitan, regional and rural locations.
Over more than a decade of service delivery Mabels has continued to develop and evolve its program model. There is an ever increasing need to extend the model to reach more women and children impacted by family violence across Victoria.
The Centre for Innovative Justice (CIJ) at RMIT University conducted a strategic review to identify the value of early, integrated legal support within the broader family violence system.
