Swap the Sunday couch session for a little adventure, some fresh air and good company.

Join Melbourne Adventure Club for a relaxed Sunday afternoon in the city, starting with an easy social walk along the Yarra before finishing back at The Boatbuilders Yard for drinks, music and their Sunday Session.

This one is less about kilometres and more about meeting people, having a laugh and making something of your Sunday afternoon.

THE PLAN

1:00 pm — Meet at The Boatbuilders Yard, South Wharf

We’ll gather outside, say hello and head off together for an easy walk along Melbourne’s Yarra River.

Expect around 5–7 km at a relaxed pace, with plenty of time to chat, take in the city and meet some new people.

Around 3:30 pm — Return to The Boatbuilders Yard

Then we’ll settle in for their Sunday Session beside the river.

Grab yourself a drink, something to eat if you’re hungry, and stay for a relaxed afternoon of music and good company.

Our official MAC event finishes at 5:00 pm, but The Boatbuilders Yard Sunday Session continues afterwards, so you’re very welcome to stay on.

WHAT TO BRING

Comfortable walking shoes, water, sun protection and whatever you need for Melbourne weather.

Food and drinks at The Boatbuilders Yard are not included in your ticket and can be purchased individually.

WHO IS THIS FOR?

Everyone.

Come on your own — plenty of people do.

This is deliberately designed as a relaxed social event, so you don’t need to be a serious hiker or super fit. If you can comfortably walk around 5–7 km, you’ll be fine.

Whether you're new to Melbourne, wanting to expand your social circle, looking for something different to do on a Sunday, or simply keen to get outside rather than spending another afternoon at home — come along.

Places are limited so the group stays social and everyone has the chance to actually meet one another.
