FREE EVENT - Macabre Dreams - Readings and Music, featuring the launch of Lost Souls Magazine
Event description
Want to be enchanted? Get spooked, get awed and get mesmerised?
Come along to Gang Gang cafe for a night of dark beauty and wicked revelations with some of Canberra’s finest artists of disturbing imaginaries. And, to help honour the solstice this winter.
Our artists will disturb and delight with music and readings. Phoebe Lupton and Ben O’Mara read new writing from Lost Souls Magazine, Issue 1, and launch this demonic bit of lit. Ellie Malbon shares poetry of love, hardship and horror. Red Saunders tells tales of a capital vibrating from its punk, indie and experimental sounds. Gia Ransome hypnotises with music of dark dramatic energy and vocal prowess. Megan Cook, nurturer of The Sacred, celebrates the magic of ritual, and that precious connection to home.
So spend time with us on this beguiling evening. Let go and be bewitched as the earth begins again its journey through the long shadows of winter, towards that warm, abundant light.
To clarify this is a free event, however it requires free registration as there will be limited space for attendees. If you would like to attend please reserve a space by getting yourself a free ticket.
