Maccabi Mega Camp Years K-2
Event description
Due to popular demand, we have opened Friday the 19th up to Years K-6. Participants will be separated by age groups on the day. The kids will enjoy a fun-filled afternoon at Manhattan Bowling Club in Roseberry (they will be transported from Moriah, and returned on the bus at approx. 3pm). If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out community.nsw@maccabi.com.au
What is Maccabi Mega Camp?
Maccabi Mega Camp is a sports and activities school holiday day camp for Jewish children in years K-2.
A selection of sports will be offered on the three days - handball and ultimate frisbee + basketball, soccer and netball. The afternoons will be jam-packed with social activities, including Tenpin bowling on the Friday, run by Maccabi Tenpin Bowling!!
Mega Camp 2024 is a collaboration of Maccabi NSW and Maccabi clubs.
When is Mega Camp
Wednesday 17th April 9:00am-3pm (pick up from Moriah)
Thursday 18th April 9:00am-3pm (pick up from Moriah)
Friday 19th April 9:00am-3pm (kids will be bussed from Moriah to Bowling Club, and returned to Moriah @ approx. 3pm)
Participants can select 1, 2 or 3Â days!
Who is Mega Camp for?
Kids in years K, 1 & 2Â from across the Sydney Jewish community + Years 3-6 on Friday 19th.

Cost
Cost covers participation in all sports and social activities, sports injury insurance and morning tea.
Sibling discounts - an additional 10% discount from your total fee. Please contact us to receive discount code.

Dress Code
All participants need to dress in sports clothes, wear sneakers and also bring equipment appropriate to their sport - soccer boots and shin pads are not mandatory.
Coloured bibs will be provided for sports games.
Location
Eastern Suburbs – Location to be announced (return bus from Masada will be available pending minimum registrations)
Security & Medical
Security - The security and health of all participants is our top priority. Camp is run in coordination with CSG + Security will be present at the premises at all times.Â
First aid - There will be a designated First Aid officer at all events + Community Health Services will be on call.
Hot weather policy – If conditions are deemed unsafe, sports will be called off and kids will be supervised in an appropriate/cool environment.Â
Wet weather policy - camp will resume as normal, if conditions are unsafe then all activities will relocate to indoor facilities at the school
Food
Children will need to bring their own lunch (no nuts, veg or kosher). Kosher snacks will also be provided for morning tea and water will be readily available throughout the day.

Maximum Participants
Camp numbers are capped at 100 per day. Registrations will close once that number is reached.
Covid-19 Refund Policy
In the event that Covid restrictions result in Mega Camp not being able to take place, a full refund will be provided (excluding a small admin fee of ~$10. Please refer to the refund policies below in the event that a parent chooses to pull their child out due to personal concern.Â
