Macquarie Law School invites you to attend the 2025 Higher Degree by Research (HDR) Conference, themed ‘Bridging Research and Reality’. This annual event brings together MRes and PhD candidates to showcase their research and engage with academic and industry communities across law and related disciplines.
Structured around four dynamic sessions: Securing the Planet, Safeguarding Civil Rights, Sustainable Communities, and Innovative Technologies, the Conference reflects the School’s five key research clusters:
Voice, Access, and Law Reform
Sustainability and Energy Transformation
Corporate Citizenship and Integrity
Law, Society, and the Asia-Pacific
Technology in the Public Interest
The Conference provides HDR researchers a unique platform to disseminate their work, receive constructive feedback, build professional networks, and enhance their presentation skills. In an effort to strengthen the bridge between academic research and real-world impact, each presentation will be followed by a brief commentary from an external stakeholder in industry or academia.
We warmly welcome HDR candidates, academic mentors, and industry partners to attend this collaborative and inspiring event.
Please RSVP by 5:00pm, 27 August 2025, for catering and planning purposes.
