Join us for a hands-on Futures Thinking workshop using The Thing From The Future*, a playful speculative design game that challenges us to imagine objects, stories and possibilities from alternative futures.
You’ll play, design, debate and explore some very strange possible worlds, while learning practical ways to think beyond the expected.
No Futures Thinking experience required. Just bring your curiosity.

About the facilitator: Renata Zimbarg is a Brazilian-born futurist, cultural strategist and facilitator based in Melbourne/Naarm, and a former Monash student herself. She works with Futures Thinking, creativity, and participatory learning, and is the founder of Kaleidoscope Club, a playful initiative that uses games and imagination to help people explore possible futures.
