Event description

A summer of Darebizan sunsets await with Made in the Shade returning to The Thorn’s tropical beer garden oasis for its second run of open-air dance parties.

Who better to kick things into gear than C.K and Central from all the way out in Aarhus, Denmark! Homies of the highest order and two pillars of the Regelbau label, C.K and Central are at the forefront of Aarhus’ new wave of producers integrating d-floors with their casually breezy hypnotic rhythms.

C.K returns after a stunning debut LP last year with ‘Tracking Patience’ a bona fide chillout masterpiece. His mystic electronic music can be heard under a myriad of guises, collaborating as 2 Bit Crew, Maizena or Changez, or via subliminal ambient cuts under the 3.11 moniker. Space is always the key ingredient with C.K’s nostalgic melodies beautifully colliding across the positive vibe orbit.

Central is no stranger to these shores either, responsible for some unforgettable marathon sets with Danish partner in crime DJ Sports over the years. His musical stylings seamlessly drift dancers between select realms of dreamy house, jungle and atmospheric d’n’b. Much like C.K, Central’s deft touch is scattered far and wide across a multitude of aliases, with guises ranging from the house, techno and jungle infused, to the leftfield and ambient works of Alle and Palta, while also notoriously producing one of our favourite modern R&B albums, Erika De Casier’s debut masterpiece ‘Essentials’.

Granting them an extended blank canvas to guide us safely into orbit, prepare for the transcendent sounds of C.K and Central to absorb your mind and body long into the night.

Support from local vibe specialists Rev Lon and Eva J.
