Description

to run away to the forest

to shed the musk of civilisation,

the scent of a world caked with destruction

to forget all the pain that was…

that

is

a

place

many of us have touched.

that

is a place

that we may return to when each breath in life becomes too labored to wear a false smile and cheer

when inside a beast roars in pain,

hungering to flee,

to roam,

to roar

---

welcome to a experience of sniffing, caressing and feasting upon the

Irish myth 'The Romance of Mis and Dubh Ruis'

on 3 October, we gather in the Sussex countryside around the tale of Mis, a strangely hairy, hungry story heaving with the frailty and beauty of humanity,  through which we'll explore some of the questions that follow us through life - pain, transformation, forgetting, remembering and the five medicines that can come from the civilised world that enliven weary bones.

join us for a day of storytelling, wandering, creation and conversation following an old tale into the places in ourselves that don't always have easy names.

come if some part of you has ever wanted to disappear into the forest, and only through remembering what it truly means to be human, have emerged.

your hosts

rebecca is an ordained Interfaith Minister and storyteller. she offers a range of ceremonies, performances and workshops that realign us to that which is sacred in this life.

rebecca completed her two year Ministry training with Onespirit Interfaith Foundation in 2024 and completed a 3 month, full time storytelling training (Storytelling Beyond Words) at Emerson College in Forest Row in early 2025. her offerings weave these two domains together, providing rich, nourishing and meaningful journeys.

anatolia can't really define herself these days.

she's done things, been places and is doing her best to figure out what is means to exist on a gigantic rock moving through space.

she's often seen dancing in a particular verdant forest in corrèze (france) with ink, soil and blood stained fingers carrying strange books with emblems carved on them.

she's has been running creativity, storytelling and connection events for 8 years and still loves the strange mystery that curls around strangers when they come together, especially with a story at the centre.
