As the daughter of Australian rock singer Jimmy Barnes, MAHALIA BARNES’ childhood exposed her to everything from Ray Charles, Otis Redding, Wilson Pickett to Ike & Tina Turner, Aretha Franklin, Donny Hathaway and Stevie Wonder, all of which, along with her vocal genetics, helped shape her into the powerhouse soul and blues vocalist that has jaws dropping every time she picks up a mic.

Lemonise presents didgeridoo-fronted (played by lead singer and GuriNgai musician Jake Magi) psychedelic pop. Infused with mesmerizing natural influences from the South Coast, their music is a kaleidoscope of funky rhythms and mind-bending melodies, taking audiences on a sonic journey that's as unique as it is unforgettable.
After a successful East Coast tour in 2024 they been thrown into the festival circuit, playing Surflife, Ocean Lovers and NYE at Northgong earlier this year. In July, Lemonise appeared on a live interview on ABC Illawarra with Triple J host Lindsay McDougall in which they played an acoustic jam to accompany the release of their newest track, 'Golden' which has been featured on Spotify playlists such as editorial playlists ‘Original Storytellers’.
