Main Conference - OWASP New Zealand Day 2025
Event description
We are proud to announce the fifteenth OWASP New Zealand Day conference, to be held in the Sir Owen G. Glenn Building (OGGB) on the University of Auckland campus, Thursday and Friday, 4-5 September 2025.
This event is a two-day conference dedicated to application security (AppSec), with an emphasis on secure architecture and development techniques to help Kiwi developers build more secure applications.
This year, we'll have two refereed presentation tracks, focusing primarily on Introductory/Management topics and deeper Technical topics, respectively. In addition, we are continuing the Demo/Breakout "mini track," with tool demonstrations and presentations by our Premier Sponsors, as well as other breakout meetings as organised.

The primary tracks will run concurrently on both Thursday and Friday:
Stream One:
- Introductory Topics
- Program Management, Policy, Compliance, Risk Management
- Human Considerations (work/life balance, keeping sharp, etc.)
Stream Two:
- Technical Topics
The entire conference - including both main tracks and most activities in the Demo/Breakout room - will be live streamed. Information on accessing the live stream will be sent out to registered attendees before the event.
In-Person Registration Options and Prices:
- Regular Registration is $25.00 per person (inclusive of GST)
- Registration for Students or Unwaged individuals is FREE
- Up to 11 August, conference t-shirts can be purchased when you register - $18.00 each regular / $12.00 for students/unwaged (max. 1 at reduced price).
- Sizing Guides: Staple Tees (Straight cut / "men's") and Maple Tees (Fitted cut / "women's")
- From 16 August (including 'day of' registrations), a "procrastinator's supplement" will be charged for each registration, increasing the registration fees to $50.00 regular / $20.00 for students/unwaged.
After the conference, recordings of presentations will be posted on the OWASP New Zealand Chapter's @OWASPNZDay YouTube channel.
