Adelaide/Kaurna Land psych rock groovers MAISIE are bringing their high energy live shows to Melbourne/Naarm for the first time as part of their ‘Free Your Mind’ tour.

Playing the Cactus Room on May 13, Maisie will be joined by some new friends in Fairtrade Narcotics, Barefoot Spacemen and Astro Elevator.

The encapsulating outfit are hitting the road in support of their newest single “Overflow” a beachy banger boasting groovy indie rock vibes mixed with vintage blues rock warmth, as well as their upcoming single “Free Your Mind” (Available May 10), an almost trance like exploration of reality, heavily influenced by early Tame Impala, Babe Rainbow and Cream.

Maisie express familiar flavours likened to Funkadelic, The Doors, Hendrix, Delta Riggs and Khruangbin, enticing the listener with their insanely energetic and irresistibly groovy live shows with a mix of trance inducing jams creating an array of juxtapositions along the way.

Maisie acknowledges that this event will take place on lands of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin nation. We pay our respects to elders past, present and emerging.
