PEPA aims to improve health professionals’ knowledge, skills and confidence in the palliative approach to care and end of life care.
Program Objective:
PEPA aims to improve health professionals’ knowledge, skills and confidence in the palliative approach to care for people with a life-limiting illness.
The workshops are interactive and provide time for discussion through case presentations and examples (some aspects of the program may change due to circumstances beyond our control).
This session is a face-to-face event.
Intended workshop audience: Open to ALL.
Aim of workshop: to feel more comfortable about the most important conversation you've never had, to find your positive state of preparedness around end-of-life, to normalise and reshape how we all approach end-of-life.
Talks include: Information, casual conversation and support to plan well for end of life from a Solicitor, End of Life Doula, Cancer Council pro bono team, Carers Gateway, the Maitland Palliative Care Volunteers, and PEPA NSW (overview of placement opportunities for health staff).
