Description

The Majura Valley Farm Sunflower Harvest is on for the final weekend of March.

Dry conditions have shaped this season, and we didn't have the chance to let people pick their own flowers due to limited availability. So we're opening the farm for a relaxed harvest weekend to give you the chance to come grab a flower or five. Free entry, good vibes, and a chance to pick what's in the field.

Expect wide-open skies, golden autumn light, kids roaming through paddocks, lawn games, close-up animal encounters, and sculpture walks woven through the farm. As the day rolls into evening, enjoy live music and local wine and beer while the sun sets over the mountains.

No cost, but RSVP to keep the event intimate.

Opening Hours

Saturday & Sunday
9 am – sunset (around 8 pm)

Photographer Bookings

Professional photographers must enquire via the form on our website.

Mondays and Tuesdays are set aside for professional shoots and are closed to the public. Photographers can book sessions from dawn to dusk. Early morning sessions are available with a few days' notice.

Pick Your Own Sunflowers and More 🌻

Flowers are available to pick for $3 per stem. This is a harvest, not peak bloom.

This is a real working farm. You'll see livestock, open paddocks and the rhythms of agriculture up close. There may be less of a maze in 2026, but there's still something to love.

Across the day, enjoy lawn games, close-up animal experiences, interactive play for kids, and curated sculpture walks through the paddock.

As the afternoon rolls in, settle into live entertainment, soak up golden hour, and enjoy local beverages while the farm shifts into evening mode.

Wander. Explore. Learn something new. Take your time and experience autumn on the land.

Our farm gate shop offers fresh, local produce where you can literally see where your food is grown.

By purchasing a ticket, you agree to respect the farm and follow the simple guidelines below.

What to Bring

Closed shoes are essential.
Bring a hat, sunscreen and a jacket for cooler afternoons.

Pack a picnic if you like! We'll have fresh snacks, produce from the farm shop, wine from our neighbours at Mount Majura Vineyard and beer from mates at Bentspoke Brewing Co.

Dress to impress (the cows).

Access & Accessibility

Free parking is available on-site. Please follow staff directions and do not park on Majura Road.

The maze is wheelchair-accessible, but the ground is a farm paddock and may be uneven, rocky, or soft depending on the weather. If you have specific access needs, get in touch, and we'll plan the best time to visit.

Respect the Farm

Stay in your paddock.

We are a genuine working farm with animals, crops and infrastructure. Please remain within designated areas and be mindful of other visitors.

Pollinators & Petals

Sunflowers attract bees and other insects; they're part of the ecosystem. If you have allergies, please plan accordingly.

Facilities

Toilets will be on-site.
Bring your own water bottle; drinking water will be available as we aim to reduce plastic waste.

Rain or Shine (but not hail)

Farming doesn't work for drizzle. We operate rain or shine.
In the event of severe weather, we will reschedule or refund tickets as needed.

No Dogs Please

For biosecurity and safety reasons, pets are not permitted.
Service dogs are welcome.
